Lydia Shook - Owner/Coach

Lydia has been active in sports and fitness her entire life. Growing up in the Appalachian Mountains she hiked with her parents and spent many weekends camping. Lydia played on her high school’s Varsity soccer team 3 years. She also competed in Indoor Track and Cross Country. Because of her involvement in sports she decided to take her high school's BFS (Bigger Faster Stronger) class each semester where she was introduced to weightlifting and high intensity workouts. She became addicted to pushing herself and encouraging her friends. After high school she married Travis and moved to Traverse City, Michigan where he was stationed through the Coast Guard. In 2012, she learned of CrossFit and realized it was everything she loved about fitness. CrossFit has helped her become stronger physically and mentally. She continued CrossFit through her pregnancies where she learned many ways to scale exercises to accommodate a growing belly. Her passion drove her to become a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer.
