Lydia played on her high school’s Varsity soccer team 4 years. She also competed in Indoor Track and Cross Country. Because of her involvement in sports she decided to take her high school's BFS (Bigger Faster Stronger) class each semester where she was introduced to weightlifting and high intensity workouts. She became addicted to pushing herself and encouraging her friends. After high school she married Travis and moved to Traverse City, Michigan where he was stationed through the Coast Guard. In 2012, she learned of CrossFit and realized it was everything she loved about fitness. CrossFit has helped her become stronger physically and mentally. She continued CrossFit through her pregnancies where she learned many ways to scale exercises to accommodate a growing belly. Her passion drove her to become a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer.
Alex Clark - CrossFit, Kids, Teens and Gymnastics Coach
Growing up in sports, Alex has always had a love for health and fitness. She
competed in gymnastics at a young age and then went on to play volleyball for her
local middle school and high school teams. When she wasn’t playing volleyball in
season for her school, she was playing on a travel volleyball team competing in
tournaments all across North Carolina. School and volleyball had ended and she was
looking for the next big thing. Two years after graduating high school, Alex found
CrossFit. She immediately fell in love with the sport, the atmosphere, and most
importantly the people. She began her coaching career at CrossFit Kavod, June 2017.
She loves having the opportunity of making a difference in people’s lives on a daily
basis. She enjoys seeing the personal transformation that people experience through
CrossFit, beyond the physical change. Alex holds numerous specialty certifications.
She is the Head Gymnastics Coach and Head Kids and Teens Coach at Kavod. Alex
loves continuing her education in the fitness world and strives to make herself a
better coach everyday.
